Even though the Olympics were a huge success, there were plenty of Best & Worst Moments. As Complex points out, a worst moment would be when Russian figure skater Evgeni Plushenko whined about not getting the gold medal so rewarded himself the rare “platinum” metal…via his website. Although there’s many more Olympic fails, Sean White pulled through with winning a second gold medal in the halfpipe and pulling off a 1260 (three 360’s plus a 180 = 1260) – pretty impressive Sean!

10.DEEP Up North Trip from loop on Vimeo.

In recent times, 10.DEEP has expanded its presence through various other channels with an increasing focus on skating. The past has seen music become a prominent aspect of their brand with many mixtapes but their latest non-fashion foray includes the 10.DEEP skate division who present their latest video, “Up North Trip”. The video includes original music from up-and-comer Hip-Hop artist Donnis and provides a good precursor to the sunshine and warmth of Spring.

If you grew up in the 80’s you’d know him simply as “Boner” from the hit sitcom Growing Pains.. Andrew Koenig, 41, was best known for his role as Richard “Boner” Stabone. His parents said Wednesday he had been off his medication when he vanished during a visit to Vancouver, a city he came to love after shooting a television episode here years ago.

He lived in Vancouver for three years and during that time, had little contact with his parents. Koenig was supposed to return to Los Angeles on Feb. 16, but never showed up. He was last seen Feb. 14 in Stanley Park, one of his favorite places in the city.

Vancouver Police said the man’s body was found about 30 to 40 metres off a popular trail, in a densely wooded area near marshland.

The usual side netting that came from the Jordan 5 was replaced with the mesh from the Jordan 4. Also, the “Spike” print that hit the toe cap and back of the sneaker has been replaced with a more familiar elephant print. To finish off the cosmetic transformation, Jordan Brand speckled part of the midsole and the “wings”.

It’s been our great pleasure to bring you some of the most exciting products and events the sneaker market has had to offer over the last 10 years of business. Over time we’ve seen many faces pass through our doors, and made great friends along the way. We broke ground for Canada’s retail landscape, and paved the way for those that followed. Yet, nothing lasts forever and it has come time to close.

We’ve seen our market change significantly over the last few years. And, as it has changed direction, so too have we. Thus the decision to close Goodfoot and shift our focus onto new opportunities has been made. There are many exciting projects to come in our future, and we hope that everyone who supported us at Goodfoot will continue to support us in the growth and evolution of our exciting endeavors to come.

We’d like to officially take this time to thank you for supporting Goodfoot. We’ll always remember the relationships that were built, and the unbelievable energy and loyalty our customers brought to this unique shop.
