Stussy has teamed up with London-based Champ Magazine for a Stussy International Tribe photo shoot directed by Art/Director Matthew Williams. This special spread features Stephane Ashpool which is the founder of boutique Pigalle, and co-founder of Pain O choKolat crew.

Well we know very well Matthew Williams by his work ethic who has worked with the likes of Kanye West, A$AP Rocky for some great pieces of Art. And Monster like Lady Gaga/Haus of Gaga and currently works for Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio (London). Charaf Tajer the founder and owner of club Le Pompon (Paris) and is also part of the Pain O choKolat crew. Tom Guinness the British stylist and Fashion Director of French fashion magazine, L’Officiel Hommes.

Last night while the glitterati of the fashion world were at the Met Costume Gala, Paris-based graffiti writer Kidult prowled the streets of SoHo finding his latest target. Kidult is notorious for vandalizing boutiques, blasting their storefronts with fire extinguishers filled with paint. Past victims include Christian Louboutin, Hermes, Celine, Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, Agnes B. and Supreme.

Marc Jacobs retail associates were shocked to find the word “ART” written across the store this morning and quickly scrambled to wash it away. Known for their social media saavy, the official Marc Jacobs twitter tweeted a photo with the caption “Art by Art Jacobs” not knowing it was actually the handiwork of Kidult, who tweeted a photo of his own with the caption “I did some ART?”

Summer 2012 is a colorful collection inspired by high-end themes that stay true to the Crooks lifestyle. Mixing both high luxury with street, these motifs are based around various fabrications, colors, custom graphics, patches and trims. The “Anchors” capsule portrays familiar aquatic visuals such as knots and anchors. The Voyage group takes summer travel to a different level with the use of custom logo patch-like graphics, creating an all-over pattern with Crooks-specific vocab. Staying true to the brand, we had to create an athletic group which contains street lock-ups on various knit fabrics, including stripes and solids both accented with pop colors. After being introduced to the Brooklyn Nets and their new logo and color scheme, they’ve continued their media onslaught with a recently released commercial aimed at drumming up ticket sales at the newly built Barclays Center. Titled “Hello Brooklyn,” a not-so-subtle reminder that minority owner Jay-Z is in the fold, the spot showcases the history and tradition associated with Brooklyn athletics, as well as the needed mention that with a new city comes a much needed rebirth of sorts. Stay tuned for further news as an official uniform unveiling is expected sometime in September 2012.

Built in 1938 by William Alexander, the concrete and steel home was commissioned by explorer-writer Richard Halliburton and designed to be an inspirational reminder to think outside.
