For the A/W 12 collection we found inspiration in simplicity and efficiency. We wanted the details to be subtle and smart. This winter’s color story was deeply inspired by the natural palate found in the forests, mountains, and deserts of our home state of California. Each color fits well and complements the next adding a harmonizing level of balance found throughout the collection.
Heavy brushed flannels with red contrast bar tacks, clean striped henley and hunting influenced fleece will provide warmth in any climate. Shawl neck zip sweaters as well as hand knitted cardigans can be layered together to create outfits perfect for hiking in the San Bernardino Mountains or worn to a fine art exhibit in downtown LA. For outerwear there is a mix of utility, trench and quilted jackets. Focusing in on our oil coated wool pea coat and heavy canvas parka coat with fully removable lining.
Our bottoms have always been one of our strongest categories and we have added a full range of denim including washed and raw, bedford and regular corduroy, pique canvas and striped wool slacks.
Accessories have been a major part in telling the COMUNE story, so this season we have kept true and offered a tuned assortment of leather goods including travel and daily billfold wallets, gentleman’s key chain and Manchester leather belt.
COMUNE Premium Collection
This season we wanted to offer a more mature and sophisticated element that would be geared towards the higher end market. The answer to this is the COMUNE Premium collection.
The Premium collection focuses on using only the highest quality fabrics all manufactured by skilled artisans. Consisting of US MADE knits that are milled, cut and sewn all in the USA. Imported Japanese shirting’s that are also cut and sewn domestically. US MADE denim and imported leather jackets are some of the most influential pieces we’ve made to date.
The caliber found in our premium collection is of the highest-grade quality and workmanship. We have expanded into this new avenue and look forward to rebuilding American made goods.
