Summer is all red, white and blue for Crooks & Castles as the California-label pledged their American allegiance with a fresh line-up of kicks. Taking the popular chukkah boot silhouette into a new season and dimension, the label did the simplest twists by dressing the classic suede kicks in monochromes with matching laces. Keeping things clean and light for summer, the bright colors are juxtaposed against white soles, and branding remains subtle in the form of a simple printed Crooks & Castles tongue tag. Since there aren’t that many all-white chukkah boots around, the white color way stripped bare of adornments to reveal only the bare essentials could be a hit for those who don’t mind a little maintenance for their kicks.
